Congratulations to Nathan on achieving 500 days of continuous practicing, as reported in December’s “Piano Explorer” magazine. This is an amazing achievement! Students and families – please ask for personalized practicing hints to aid your music study. Great practicing can revolutionize music making.

Reminder: DuPage PADS Fundraiser Photograph Sat. Oct. 5 at 11:00 am
COME ONE COME ALL! Please take 10 minutes out of your Saturday morning schedule – October 5th at 11:00-11:10 am – to take part in our PADS Group Photograph! Free thank you t-shirts from DuPage PADS will be worn in the photograph. As of this writing we have practiced 12,470 minutes and, along with family donations, have raised $709.10. Our goal is $1,200.00. Please consider making a donation to DuPage PADS. Make your checks payable to “DuPage PADS”. Cash is also accepted. Donations will be accepted at the photograph or send them with your child to lessons next week. Based out of Wheaton, DuPage PADS assists local homeless residents with shelter, food and job assistance. Have a great weekend!
Congratulations Oliver!
Double congratulations to Oliver for not only earning his second practicing medal (gold one!) but also moving ahead to Piano Adventures Level 2A books. Both are amazing accomplishments. Great job, Oliver!
DuPage PADS Fundraiser Update
39 students have logged just under 10,000 minutes of home practice since August 26th and at 3 cents per minute have raised $308.75. This is tremendous! There are 2 weeks left to our fundraiser. Student’s families are encouraged to make their own donations to PADS. Make checks payable to “DuPage PADS”. Cash is also accepted. Send them with your child to lessons. I will personally deliver your donation to PADS. As long as your address is on the face of the check DuPage PADS will mail you a receipt. Saturday, October 5th at 11:00 am is our group photograph which will be held at my home. Students will receive free t-shirts from PADS as a thank you for our hard work.

September Piano/Voice Newsletter
Welcome to Piano and Voice lessons this fall! Our fall lessons begin the week of August 26th. Letters and lesson information for returning students were mailed on Monday. You should receive them soon. Complete and return next week the signed policy form, the registration form, group lesson (if enclosed), and AIM registration (if enclosed) mailed to you.
Attached is September’s newsletter which includes important upcoming schedule and event information. Read everything carefully and add the Calendar of Event dates to family calendars.
DuPage PADS fundraiser dates are Aug. 26-Oct. 5th. This is the only time I request time information be added next to parent’s initials in the boxes on practice sheets. The times listed are compiled and multiplied at 3 cents a minute. This total makes up a large part of our donation.
There are no lessons Monday, Sept. 2nd to celebrate Labor Day.
