Diane is a Nationally Certified Music Teacher from the Music Teachers National Association. This certification reflects high standards in teaching philosophy, lesson planning, and objectives; professional business practices, professional partnerships in the profession, and community and continuing education.
Mrs. Lindsay uses traditional and non-traditional approaches, and is known for her creativity, encouragement, and positive approach to both piano and voice teaching. She has 5 years of classroom and 14 years of private music teaching experience. She is State of Illinois certified Vocal Music Teacher who has also earned her Gifted Teaching Endorsement. This opened the door to identifying the learning styles of all learners and abilities.
Diane is a member of the American Guild of Musical Artists, National Association of Teachers of Singing, Music Teachers National Association, Illinois State Music Teachers Association, and the West Suburban Music Teachers Association (Member of the Year 2017). Diane is a retired member of the Chicago Symphony Chorus (1986-1999), lifetime member of the music honors society Delta Omicron, and National Merit Scholar.
