April Piano & Voice Newsletter
Lessons Week of March 16
After much thought I think it is best to follow guidelines from CDC and our Governor and not hold lessons the rest of this week. It would be great to have some sense of “normal” right now but our current situation is not normal. What is best is to respond well and not put anyone at risk. Stay safe and healthy!
SUSPENDED: MARCH 14 PRACTICE & MARCH 15 PIANO & VOICE CONCERTS
Due to the reCent school closures and concerns about large groups meeting together I am suspending this weekend’s March 14 practice and March 15 concerts for a weekend yet to be determined in April or May. Once school is back in session a new date will be selected and communicated. Lessons are available for the week of Monday, March 16th, keeping everything disinfected. Please let me know whether your child will be attending. Please do not attend if you have the flu, any virus, sore throat, fever, or cough.
Update 3/15 Piano & Voice Concerts
Following up Tuesday’s post I want to confirm our Saturday, March 14th practices and Sunday, March 15th concerts WILL TAKE PLACE, along with the group photograph at 2:20 pm in the sanctuary. The food reception in the gym WILL NOT be taking place. After the group photograph we will start the 3:00 program early if all performers are present. The church gym will be closed. Please monitor your children in the sanctuary and foyer areas throughout your time at Lombard Bible Church. I will do my best to clean the piano keys between performers. I highly recommend everyone wash their hands often. As stated earlier if you or your child are ill please stay home to recuperate and minimize contact with others. Please let me know if your child will not be attending.
Stay well and my sincere thanks!
Illness and Lessons
Along the same lines as our upcoming concerts I request that anyone who believes they may have been exposed to or have coronavirus, colds, flu or are not feeling well to stay home from their lessons. Please do not attend if you have a sore throat, fever, cough or virus-related headache. I will make every effort to clean piano keys between lessons and at student’s request. Students are encouraged to wash their hands with soap and water upon arrival and at the end of their lesson. Alcohol-based hand sanitizer is on the table next to the piano for anyone to use. Thank you for your kind consideration.
Update March 15 Piano & Voice Concerts
For those attending please wash your hands often with soap and water. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands. Avoid close contact with people who are sick. I recommend pianists wash their hands prior to and after their performance.
